New Delhi, Oct 26: Officials reported on Thursday that Vaibhav Gehlot, the son of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in Jaipur on October 27 for his involvement in a foreign exchange violation case under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999.
After the summons was issued, Vaibhav Gehlot stated that his father was being singled out, and he found the timing of the summons to be questionable.
“It is a 12-year-old case and the timing of the summons is questionable,” Vaibhav Gehlot said, adding, “My father Ashok Gehlot is being targeted.”
“It’s a conspiracy by the central government. They are misusing agencies,” he stated.
“We knew that these things would happen before the election. They raided the residence of our state president, Govind Dotasara, as well. They want to target my father, Ashok Gehlot, and hence, they sent a summons to me. It is an old matter, and I have already provided explanations before,” he added.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also confirmed that the Enforcement Directorate had issued a summons to his son, Vaibhav Gehlot.
“Date 25/10/23 Congress launches guarantees for women of Rajasthan. Date 26/10/23 ED raid on Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Ji Dotasara, Summons to my son Vaibhav Gehlot to appear in ED. Now you can understand what I have been saying that ED’s Red Rose is happening inside Rajasthan because BJP does not want that women, farmers and poor in Rajasthan should get the benefit of the guarantees given by Congress”, Gehlot posted on X.

The same day, in relation to the Senior Teacher 2nd Grade Competitive Examination, 2022 Paper Leak case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) began searching 11 sites connected to Congress MLA Om Prakash Hudla and Rajasthan Congress Chief Govind Singh Dotasara.
