Ethics Month begins at Tata Steel West Bokaro Division

Ramgarh, July 4: Promoting ethical values at West Bokaro Division of Tata Steel, Ethics Month kicked off at GM Office, Lawns.  Anurag Dixit, General Manager, West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Mahesh Prasad, President, National Colliery Workers Union (RCMU) along with PK Singh, Secretary, National Colliery Workers Union (RCMU), Senior Officers, Union office bearers, and employees of the Division, swore an oath to reaffirm their commitment to adhere to the company’s ethical codes and values.

On this occasion, Anurag Dixit said, “Ethics is a matter of pride for all of us.  By following the ethics properly, we can take the industry, society and family to the pinnacle of progress”. He said that in order to further strengthen the moral values we all have, to talk openly on this subject as we do today in matters of safety.

Tata Steel, in its endeavour to be the steel industry’s benchmark in value creation and corporate citizenship, has always believed that business must be conducted in a manner that respects the rights of all stakeholders. Ethics Month is celebrated every year in the month of July in Tata Steel. This year’s theme is ‘Excellence through Integrity’

In this month-long celebration, the division will organize programs like quiz competition, slogan, poster competition as well as talks on ethics. Thoughts and ideas will be welcomed on the topic of ethics this month. Mrinal Bhadra, Chief Quarry, SE cum Divisional Ethics Coordinator West Bokaro Division, Tata Steel coordinated the inaugural function of the Ethics Month.
