Ranchi: Former Chief Minister Champai Soren has launched a fresh attack on the state government, alleging that a “new pattern” of filing false cases has begun in Jharkhand. In a social media post, Soren wrote that anyone who questions the government is slapped with cases. “Raise questions — a case will be filed. Demand justice — a case will be filed. Protest — a case will be filed. Ask for your rights — a case will be filed. And if you don’t fear these cases and your voice scares the government, then you will be ‘silenced’ through a fake encounter like Surya Hansda,” he wrote.

Calls for Unity Against ‘Jungle Raj’

Soren further alleged that the same government turns a blind eye to violations of the CNT-SPT Act and the looting of tribal and indigenous lands. He claimed the administration ignores demographic changes in the state while encroaching on the lands of poor farmers in Nagri. Champai Soren called on the public to unite and resist what he termed a “Jungle Raj” emerging in the state.
