Ranchi, July 4: Wicketkeeper-cum-batsman Robin Minz, selected for the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket team – Mumbai Indians, called on Chief Minister Hemant Soren today.
Minz informed the CM that he has been invited by Mumbai Indians for an international level training camp to be held in the United Kingdom (UK). This camp will start from the month of August-2023.
The CM congratulated Minz, a talented cricketer who originally hails from a small village Silam Pandantoli in Raidih block of Gumla, for this achievement. He hoped that with his better game, he would achieve a different position in the world of cricket and bring laurels to Jharkhand and the country.
Minz is currently living in Naya Toli in Namkum located in Jharkhand capital. He is the first tribal cricketer from Jharkhand, who has been selected for IPL cricket.
MLA Rajesh Kachhap, Francis Xavier Minz, father of Robin Minz, mother Alice Minz, cricket coach Chanchal Bhattacharya, SP Gautam and Asif Haque were present on the occasion.
