Dhanbad, Dec 30: Five students of Jawahar Navodaya Boarding School Giridih including three girls were found Corona positive in antigen test reports.
Giridih civil surgeon (CS) Dr SP Mishra said that samples of all five students have been sent to Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College Hospital (SNMMCH) Dhanbad for RT- PCR test. A proper protocol will be initiated after getting the reports which are likely to come by evening.
The CS said that a total of 27 students of Jawahar Navodaya residential School, Gandey block were tested through antigen test at the community health centre (CHC) when they complained of cold and cough complications.
“Because only RT-PCR test reports are regarded as valid, all positive children have been held in proper isolation in school under the observation of CHC medical staff until reports arrive,” said civil surgeon Dr SP Mishra.
Dr Mishra said the travel history of all five infected children is being reviewed as all students of the boarding school are kept under the proper guidelines of Covid-19 for their safety. He further added that there is no panic-like situation among students in the school as the medical team of the health department along with school management is monitoring their health condition.
