Ranchi, Aug.9: The lawyers defending RJD chief Lalu Prasad in the biggest fodder scam case involving Rs 139.35 crore of Doranda treasury want the court to hear the case in physical mode instead of virtual mode in which the court at present is handling the cases.

They have filed a petition in the court of CBI special judge S.K.Shashi today and the court on the petition has asked the prosecution to file an affidavit by August 11, i.e. the next date of hearing.

Prosecution lawyer B.M.P.Singh informed this saying the defence wants adjournment till the resumption of the physical court though the case is in the argument stage.

The number of the case is 47A/96. The number of accused in the case is 78. The list of accused includes RJD chief Lalu Prasad, former parliamentarian Jagdish Sharma besides Dr R.K.Rana, the then chairman of the public accounts committee, Dhruv Bhagat besides officials of the animal husbandry department. All have filed petitions to this effect.
