Patna, Oct 21: Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, rejected remarks made by Prashant Kishor, a former party member who has continued to criticise the leader of the Janata Dal (United). The poll strategist, who is now touring the state, made a damning accusation when he stated that Nitish Kumar’s ties to the BJP are still active.
“He speaks for his own publicity and can speak whatever he wants, we don’t care. He’s young. There was a time when I respected him…those whom I respected had disrespected me,” said Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Prashant Kishor’s remark that he’s in touch with BJP.
“At one point of time, I held him in high regard. Now he just blabbers as and when he wants. You all are familiar … Whoever I have respected… how they have disrespected me in the past,” he added.
Many electoral triumphs, including those of Nitish Kumar, the BJP in 2014, and Mamata Banerjee in Bengal, among many others, have been attributed to the 45-year-old election strategist’s I-PAC. His criticism of Nitish Kumar comes as he conducts numerous public gatherings throughout Bihar in an effort to broaden his support among local voters.
