Ranchi, May 3: The Jharkhand FOWA (Forest Officers Wives Association) members visited the Birsa Shiksha Niketan school in Jagannathpur, Dhurwa, Ranchi and donated desks and benches for the students. The FOWA has taken the initiative to improve the infrastructure and provide basic facilities in this school to help the students from economically weaker sections of society.
The President of FOWA, Vibha Srivastava, motivated the students to pursue their dreams and work hard with dedication and sincerity. FOWA members spent time with the children and appreciated the discipline among the students and the sincere efforts put in by the school management. Stationery items, sweets, eatables and fruits were also distributed among the students. The event was attended by President Vibha Srivastava, Vice President Ruchi Upadhyay, Joint Secretary Sunandita Das, Treasurer Meenu Pandian, Rajshree Singh, Ranjana Samant and Seema Kumar.
The FOWA members have also arranged earthen water pitchers at various places in Ranchi like Jagannathpur temple, Doranda forest office etc. to provide fresh and hygienic water to the visitors and passers-by in the summer season.
