Four out of eight IPS of two batches got promotion to SP rank, four waiting

Ranchi, July 9: In Jharkhand, out of eight IPS of two batches, four got promotions to the rank of SP. But four other IPS of the same batch have not been promoted to SP rank till now. On April 7, 2022, the government promoted Mukesh Lunayat, K Vijay Shankar and Manoj Swargiyari of the 2018 batch of the Jharkhand cadre to the rank of SP. But Harvinder Singh of this batch is still working as ASP. Similarly, the government promoted Shubhanshu Jain of the 2019 batch to the rank of SP. But Rishabh Garg, Sumit Kumar Aggarwal and Kapil Chaudhary of this batch have remained ASP till now.

In the coming days, the number of IPS will increase to 148 in Jharkhand. At present, there are 124 IPS in Jharkhand. At the same time, 24 officers have been promoted from DSP to IPS. In such a situation, the number of IPS in Jharkhand will be 148. Out of which 23 are on central deputation and more than six are preparing to go on central deputation.
