Ranchi, Oct 1: The ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign was organized at Ranchi University, with Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan participating as the chief guest. The program was conducted as per the UGC guidelines.
Before that, the Governor and Ranchi University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Sinha garlanded the image of Mahatma Gandhi. Following this, the Governor also took part in the cleanliness drive within the university campus.
On this occasion, the Governor stated that it is the responsibility of every Indian to keep the country clean. Mahatma Gandhi used to clean his home and toilet himself. We need to learn from him.
On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Sinha said that we should clean our university campus every day. He mentioned that there are ten thousand NSS (National Service Scheme) youth volunteers in the university, and they consistently run cleanliness campaigns.
CCDC of Ranchi University Dr PK Jha, Controller of Examinations Dr Ashish Kumar Jha, Dr BR Jha, Coordinator of NSS Dr Brajesh Kumar, Dr GS Jha of IQAC and others participated in the program.
