Jamshedpur, April 29: The 28-year-old youth, Mohammed Irshad, who was admitted to MGM medical college hospital for the treatment of his gun-shot injury on Friday, succumbed to his injury at the Tata Main Hospital.
A resident of Hayatnagar at Ulidih in Mango had sustained bullet injury in the chest as two bike-borne criminals had fired upon him near his house last afternoon.
Initially, the victim seemed to be out of danger at the medical college hospital but later in the evening his condition started deteriorating fast, leading the family members to shift him to Tata Main Hospital for better treatment but he died in the night.
The police have arrested a youth identified as Mohammed Shahjada in connection with the murder of Mohammed Irshad.
According to police, Mohammed Shahjada had launched the gun-shot attack on Irshad in sequel to a quarrel between children at Hayatnagar.
Shahjada’s arrest was made on the basis of a statement given by the brother of the murder victim. The police are trying to carry out more arrest in connection to the incident.
