Hazaribag: 3 sand laden vehicles seized, two drivers arrested

Hazaribag, Sept 24: A joint investigation campaign was conducted by the District Mining Task Force under the leadership of the District Mining Officer, Mine Inspector, ACF Hazaribagh and forest personnel of Barkagaon and Sadar areas.

In this sequence, three Hywas coming from Barkagaon near Mukundganj Chowk on the National Highway under the Muffasil police station area were seized. The sand was being transported illegally in the three Hywas with the registration numbers JH02AR9629, JH02AP2423 and JH02AX1633.

In the process, two vehicle drivers, Dularchand Kumar Mehta and Rohit Kumar, were arrested. Additionally, sand traders Yadu Prasad Dangi and Anil Kumar were booked at the Muffasil police station.

The District Mining Officer mentioned that the investigation into illegal mineral transportation will continue relentlessly, and strict action will be taken against those involved in illegal mining.
