Hazaribag, May 30: Shashi Kumar, working as a business partner in an insurance company died by suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling which left his colleagues, company officials, friends and relatives shocked. It was still not known why he took this harsh step.
Sources said Shashi went to his Birla Sunlife insurance company’s office on Tuesday working there the entire day with no signs of tension on his face. In the evening, he returned to his home near Mohan cinema hall when he found his wife going to the market with his sister-in-law. As all left, he locked himself inside the house and committed suicide at 8 PM on Tuesday. When his family returned, they found him hanging making them raise the alarm.
The Sadar police said no suicide note was found, nor any reason they came through which could be the possible cause behind the tragic death of 42-year-old Shashi. We are probing whether he was facing work pressure or any kind of problem at home, they added.
Today postmortem was done at Sheikh Bhikari Medical College and Hospital after which the body was handed over to his relatives. Shashi’s colleagues Vijendra Kartik Singh and Dharmendra Kumar said he was a good-natured guy and sincere in his work. We all are in shock as to why he took this harsh step, added they. Shashi’s friend Uday Pratap Singh said he is in a state of shock after knowing about this incident. We will always miss him, he said. Shashi is survived by his wife and two children
