Hazaribag, Oct 29: The Hazaribag municipal corporation has set up all 26 ghats along different water bodies for arghya. On Sunday evening and Monday morning, vratis will offer arghyas to the sun god. The corporation has not only cleaned water bodies but also its banks by spraying bleaching powder and lime. Hazaribag MP Jayant Sinha who made a visit to many of the water bodies including the lake expressed his satisfaction with the preparation.

The town is having Hazaribag lake as the most popular one among vratis. Corporation has cleaned Hazaribag lake which is a cluster of four lakes besides ensuring a light facility.

Even the police have prepared a traffic plan for the town restricting cars and bikes to go near ghats. Many parking zones are made before each water body and barricading is done to stop vehicles from entering the chhath ghat areas.

The electricity department has also made a full-proof plan to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the town.

“We have deputed teams at various points which will come into action as soon as getting the information of any fault,” added the executive engineer Mahadev Murmu.

Sinha, who visited Hazaribag lake and Chhath Talab expressed his satisfaction with the cleanliness drive taken up by the corporation.

“I want to tell local residents also to keep the lake clean. It’s your responsibility too,” he added.

Many times, empty liquor bottles are seen floating in lake water as well as dumped here and there. Sinha asked all to take care of such spots and not to do any kind of harm.
