Hazaribag, May 24: The Thalassemia/Haemophilia Day Care Center located at Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital campus was inaugurated today by Hazaribag DC Nancy Sahay. During this, the civil surgeon welcomed Sahay by giving her a sapling. After that, the centre was inaugurated by Sahay by lighting a lamp.
Addressing the people present on the occasion, Sahay said that this daycare centre can prove to be a boon for the treatment of people of Hazaribagh district suffering from Thalassemia/Haemophilia. Earlier people suffering from this disease had to go to Ranchi or other places for treatment. As a result of the positive initiative taken in this direction by the health department, Day Care Centre has been established. In the coming days, better treatment facilities will be made available to Thalassemia/Haemophilia patients coming from different areas, she said.
Civil surgeon Dr Saryu Prasad Singh appreciated the contribution of the DC in the establishment of the daycare centre here. He termed this as an important achievement for the proper treatment of thalassemia/haemophilia patients.
Dr Vinod Kumar, Superintendent, Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital, Hazaribagh talked about providing better treatment to the patients of related diseases in the daycare centre.
