Hazaribag, Feb 25: A seven-month-old girl from the Banjara community sustained severe burn injuries when a man kicked the pot on a stove containing hot water.
The Incident took place in Nayatand village of Barkagaon block late Friday evening. Police are now looking for the man who is behind this incident. The girl is now undergoing treatment at Sheikh Bikhari medical college and hospital.
Sunita, the mother of the girl, said she was boiling water on the stove to cook rice. Suddenly, a man from the same village came there and started quarrelling with her.
He started beating her resulting in an ugly situation. Before she could understand anything, he kicked the stove making the pot containing hot water fall down. As Sunita’s daughter was nearby, the water fell on her resulting in burn injuries. The man fled the spot.
Sunita said the man had tried to kill her daughter.
“My daughter sustained serious injuries and so I want strict action on the culprit,” added she.
Barakagaon police officers said they sent the girl for treatment and now looking for the man who committed this crime.
“We will arrest him soon,” added he.
