Hazaribag, Aug 8: Sadar MLA Manish Jaiswal today attacked the JMM-led government saying that the law and order have completely collapsed in the state. He said corruption is at its peak with the smuggling of coal, sand, stone and wood going on indiscriminately, even the drug trade is flourishing as well. He said murder, rape, theft and loot are happening openly in Jharkhand. Jaiswal was addressing a press conference here after the end of the monsoon session of the assembly.

Jaiswal said even the health system is in a coma with people not getting any facilities and proper treatment at hospitals. The ruling party spent the important monsoon session in formalities and completely sidelined the public’s question, he charged the government.

Jaiswal said criminal incidents were continuously taking place in many areas of the state when the monsoon session was going on. He said such incidents took place in several districts of the state, including the capital Ranchi. Incidents of crime worried everyone but it had no effect on the government. In the capital Ranchi, a social and respected person like Subhash Munda was shot after entering his office, a 5-year-old girl was raped in a school in Ranchi itself, and in Hazaribagh criminals ran away safely by spreading panic in a posh area besides incidents of theft and burglary in many establishments of Hazaribagh has sparked panic.

Jaiswal said that after complaining to the Health Minister about corruption in the name of diesel at Hazaribagh’s largest government hospital named Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College, the Health Minister had ordered an inquiry. At this hospital, a surgery took place in the light of a mobile torch despite the fact that the amount was siphoned in the name of diesel for the generator. The Health Minister had assured to investigate and take action within 15 days.
