Hazaribag, June 27: Hazaribag MP Jayant Sinha who boarded the Vande Bharat train from Ranchi got a grand welcome at Hazaribag railway station by the BJP workers. Sinha addressed a gathering here and said when he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav demanding a long-distance train from Hazaribag, they smiled. “What they told me is that they are giving the exclusive Vande Bharat which is only 20 such trains running in the country,” he said.

He said efforts are on to ensure the start of the service of Rajdhani Express from Hazaribag which will ease the journey of his constituency’s people to Delhi. He said this rail route is giving good revenue to the railway and so he is sure of getting maximum facilities to people here.

Sinha said he is trying to ensure the service of Rajdhani Express which means people boarding it in the evening at Hazaribag will reach Delhi the next morning. “This line got completed after making four tunnels on the Barkakana-Ranchi route as well as levelling the land passing through tough terrain. This line is important and we will have many such trains in the coming days,” he added.

Sinha said the demand for train from Hazaribag was several decades old which finally got fulfilled.

A large number of people gathered at the station to take a glimpse of the train. Many clicked selfies and posted on social media terming this as a big day for Hazaribag. Sinha also termed the day historic for Hazaribag promising a superfast long-distance train in the coming time.
