Hazaribag: One dies, four injured after coming in contact with live wire

Hazaribag, Oct.9: One died and four others sustained severe burn injuries after coming in contact with an 11000V live wire in Sirma of Barkagaon block on Sunday. All were part of the Milad un nabi procession when their vehicle (tractor) came in contact with the live wire.

Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad reached Hazaribag medical college and hospital and ensured proper treatment to injured ones. She termed the incident unfortunate.

Sources said the wire was loose and hanging on the procession path. Unaware of it, when people of the minority community in Sirma took out a procession on the path, the incident took place.

All injured were rushed immediately to medical college which is around 35kms from the site of the incident. MLA Prasad said all injured sustained more than 50 percent burn injuries.
