Hazaribag, Oct 14: Korra police arrested a 20-year-old youth Piyush Kumar who was wanted in a case related to the sexual exploitation of a minor girl and circulating her objectionable video on social media. He was arrested from his house in Barhi.
Sources said the girl approached the Korra police and complained about the objectionable video circulated by Piyush. She gave her complaint in writing demanding strict action.
The police swung into action after registering the FIR against Piyush and began an investigation in this regard. After this, Piyush was arrested and forwarded to jail.
Officer-in-charge of Korra police station, Uttam Tiwary confirmed the arrest and said that on the basis of the complaint given by the minor girl, FIR numbered 233/22 was lodged against Piyush under POCSO and IT Act. After the Covid test, Piyush was sent to Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan Central Jail.
