Hazaribag, Dec 30: Lohsigna police finally solved the sensational murder case of Rinki Kumari, who was murdered on Dec 20, by arresting two youths including the son of a policeman Parshu ram with whom she was in a live-in relationship.

Notably, Sadar sub-divisional police officer Mahesh Prajapati confirmed the arrest and said the murder weapon -a knife, was recovered.

Rinki’s dead body was found in a pool of blood at the official quarter of Ram at CTS colony. Her throat was slit. Police arrested Ram and sent him to central jail.

Prajapati said they probed this case and took the help of a technical cell to reach Ram’s son Ashish Kumar and his friend Karan Kumar. Both of them admitted to killing Rinki.

Ashish said his mother died a few months ago and he found Rinki as the culprit. Sources said Ram’s wife was not happy with the duo’s relationship and went into depression resulting in her death.

Prajapati refused to confirm this and said they have recovered a half-burnt knife which was used to kill Rinki. Both escaped to Palamu and burnt the knife on the bank of the Koyal river. They even burnt their shoes.

“We have recovered half burnt knife and burnt shoes from the bank of the river,” added Prajapati.

However, Police gave a clean chit to Ram in this case.
