Hazaribag, Dec 21: A woman who was living with a policeman Parshu Ram in the high-security area CTS colony was found murdered on Tuesday late evening. Identified as Rinki Kumari (26), her body was found in a pool of blood.

The CTS colony is also called a police colony due to the police line and official residences of lower rank policemen to that of sub-inspectors and inspectors.

As the news about this murder came, Sadar SDO Vidya Bhushan, SDPO Mahesh Prajapati, Sadar police station officer-in-charge Ganesh Singh and his Lohsigna counterpart Arvind Singh reached there. Officials said they have started a probe into the matter.

It was not confirmed if the woman is the wife of the policeman with whom she was living. Many said she was in a living relationship. Police officials said she was killed mercilessly with a throat slit. “We are investigating the case to find the facts related to it,” added a police officer. Notably, the official residence of the DC to other officers is nearby the spot of the incident.
