Hazaribag, Dec 19: Several hundred students today took to the streets demanding the implementation of recruitment policy-2021 which has been scrapped by the Jharkhand High Court. Raising slogans against Chief Minister Hemant Soren and education minister Jagannath Mahto, they also burnt their effigies. They raised slogan ‘sabko kam dena hoga, hamari mangen puri karo, chaatron ko thagna band karo.’

Moreover, students joined this Janakrosh rally in large numbers starting from Curzon ground stadium and moving to different streets and finally culminating at Curzon stadium

Ravindra Paswan, a student, said the present government led by Hemant Soren is playing with their career. We want the implementation of recruitment policy, he added.

Another student Anuj Shankar said the court has scrapped the recruitment policy and now those who have obtained the job or those going to join will have to suffer. This decision of the court will hit the career of students only, he added.

Other students said the state government is playing with their sentiments. The chief minister should understand that whenever students took to the street, things changed. Other students said government reintroduce this policy after making the required change.

The rally of students started from Curzon stadium and passed through Kutchery road, Main Road, and Bhagat Singh road to reach the stadium again.

“We will launch a massive agitation if our demands not met,” they threatened.
