Hazaribag, June 7: Fire gutted three buses parked at the taxi stand near the new bus stand under the Bada Bazar police station area. The incident took place at around 12:30 last night. All three buses were burnt to ashes in this fire. Out of the buses that caught fire, two are Ravi and one is Sanu Sudhanshu bus. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The police are investigating the matter.
Bara Bazar police station in-charge Ghanshyam Singh said that he got information in the night that three buses parked at the taxi stand caught fire. After which the fire engine reached the spot and after hours of effort, the fire was controlled. Police are investigating this matter keeping in mind that earlier also buses parked at the Hazaribagh bus stand had caught fire in a similar way.
Police officials said they are probing each and every angle to reach the facts of this fire case.
Sources said three buses which got burnt were in working condition. All three buses have been completely gutted by fire. Bus owners said they have suffered losses of several lakhs. According to the people, many buses had caught fire at this place earlier also. But the cause of the fire in those buses has not been disclosed yet. Every year many buses get burnt in Hazaribag bus stand pointing fingers towards some foul play. But police had so far failed to disclose any such case.
