Hazaribag, July 19: Dripping of water from the leaves of the Asan tree in the Bhalua forest became a matter of curiosity with villagers visiting here in large numbers taking it as a divine miracle. This is the reason why villagers are now seen sitting under this tree and praying.
Sources said water is continuously dripping from the leaves of the Asan tree located in the Bhalua forest of Tatijharia block. Soon this news became viral and villagers of Tatijharia, Berho, Daharbhanga, Boudha and surrounding areas rushed there to get a glimpse of the tree. This has become a matter of curiosity for the people. At the same time, believing it to be a divine miracle, people have also started worshipping here. The crowd is increasing day by day and all are praying under the tree to get their wishes fulfilled.
Girija Mahto, a villager, said that despite rain not happening, water dripping is taking place continuously. Water is continuously dripping from the leaves and branches of the tree. The length of this Asan tree is about 35 feet, he added.
Meanwhile, environmentalist and independent researcher Mrityunjay Sharma said that sometimes the humidity around a tree becomes very high. Due to which the tree absorbs more water than it needs. Later this water starts dripping from the branches and leaves of the tree, he added.
