Hazaribagh, Sept 23: Under the Gondalpura coal project, Adani Foundation has started special classes for Physics and Biology in state maintained +2 high school at Harli in Barkagaon block. Students studying in class 11 and 12 will be able to study in these special classes.
After getting the facility of studying science subjects here, students will also be able to prepare for medical and engineering entrance examinations. Due to the non-availability of teachers for these subjects in this school, studies were being interrupted, after which the Adani Foundation has provided trained teachers. Now the students of Intermediate will get the benefit.
These special classes were inaugurated during a program organized on the school premises. On this occasion, Block Education Officer Jawahar Prasad, School Principal Zafarul Islam, Block Resource Person (BRC) member Dhananjay Kumar and other teachers and a large number of students were present. These special classes will be conducted every day in the afternoon. Earlier demo classes were also organized for the students.
The qualifications of these teachers are post graduate and B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) in the respective subjects. No objection has been obtained from the District Education Officer cum District Program Officer (Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan) of Hazaribagh.
Addressing the program, Block Education Officer Jawahar Prasad said that this initiative of the Adani Foundation is highly commendable. Although the Department of Education is also making efforts for the appointment of teachers and other facilities, in the meantime, this initiative of the Adani Foundation is highly appreciated.
While addressing the program, the Principal of the school, Zafarul Islam, said that this is a very important initiative for the future of children studying science. Children will no longer need to go out to study. These special classes will also run beyond the stipulated time, so that children can get maximum benefit.
Earlier, teachers of both subjects were welcomed on the school premises. The children were very happy to have new teachers in their school.
