Ramgarh, May 3: SSB Havaldar Tileshwar Kumar, who got seriously injured after his wife poured boiling water nine days ago, died during treatment in Ranchi.
The incident of pouring water is of April 23. The wife committed the crime when he was sleeping soundly after coming back from a wedding ceremony.
The injured jawan had recorded a firm statement on April 23 during treatment at Mother Teresa Hospital and Research Center Chas before the police officer of Chas police station, Bal Krishna Jha.
He was later taken to Ranchi for treatment in critical condition where he died at Devkamal Hospital.
Tileshwar Kumar, son of Sukar Sao, a resident of Napokhurd in Barkagaon (Hazaribagh), was the only brother among five sisters. His mother Dashni Masomat is a volunteer at the Barkagaon Community Health Center.
The accused wife Veena Devi is Tileshwar’s second wife. His first wife was Veena Devi’s elder sister, after whose death Tileshwar’s second marriage with Veena took place 10 years ago. The jawan was about to retire after two years.
35-year-old Tileshwar Kumar was posted as Havaldar in 28 Battalion SSB in Chhattisgarh. He had come to his native village Napokhurd on leave to take his son for an appearance in the CBSE examination.
On April 23, 2022, Tileshwar was sleeping in a deep sleep in his native village residence. During this time, Veena tried to kill him by pouring boiling water on him.
In his statement, the jawan said that the wife escaped from the house after pouring boiling water. His family members searched a lot but she could not be found.
According to family members and villagers, Veena Devi used to quarrel with her husband. Veena Devi (30) is the daughter of Mahadev Sao, a resident of Chatra Line Mohalla.
According to the villagers, Tileshwar was calm and friendly. He was cremated on Monday afternoon. Hundreds of people joined and bid farewell to the jawan.
