Ramgarh, July 16: The body of a woman with her throat slit was found in the bushes in Shahpur under Katakamsandi block of Hazaribagh district on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Bhikhni Devi, wife of Shodhan Sao. It is being said that the criminals after kidnapping the woman killed her by slitting her throat.
Manoj Prasad Sao, the son of the deceased said, “My mother Bhikhni Devi used to do exorcism and treat sick people. On Friday night at around eight o’clock, two unknown youths riding a bike came to the house. In the name of getting someone exorcised, they took my mother along with them. Later, her body was found near the hill today.”
The woman’s throat was slit with a sharp weapon. On getting the information, the police reached and seized the body. They sent it to Hazaribagh Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
The Katakamsandi police said that the matter could also be related to witchcraft. Police is investigating on every aspect.
