Jamshedpur, Aug 13: State Health Minister Banna Gupta on Friday evening promised a new 100-bed facility at the state-run MGM Medical College and Hospital at Sakchi which will have 16 CCUs, 30 oxygen beds, and another 54 beds having the facility of the oxygen concentrator.
The minister alongwith district administrative and Jusco officials visited the government hospital this evening.
According to the minister, the hospital will see a complete makeover which will be undertaken in a phase-wise manner.
” Much emphasis will be given to cleanliness and hygiene. The entire campus of the hospital will see a cleanliness drive, the damaged boundary walls would be repaired and efforts would be made to strengthen the emergency unit of the hospital, ” he said soon after visiting the hospital.
According to the minister, all steps would be taken for fulfilling the requirements of the Medical Council of India both at the hospital and the government medical college in Dimna.
Notably, this was the fourth visit of the minister to the hospital ever since he took charge of the health ministry.
In his earlier visits, the minister’s emphasis was to improve the quality of food served to the patients.
