Kolkata, Sept 8: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Thursday at Trinamool Congress gathering that she, Nitish Kumar, Hemant Soren, and other leaders would work together for the 2024 general election.

“I, Nitish Kumar, Hemant Soren and many others will come together in 2024. All opposition parties will join hands to defeat the BJP. All of us will be on one side and the BJP on the other. The BJP’s arrogance of 300 seats will be its nemesis. There will be ‘Khela Hobe’ in 2024,” she said.

She also claimed that the BJP would face a rout because of its arrogance and people’s anger.

Taking aim at the saffron party’s suspected horse trading in Jharkhand, Banerjee asserted that the Hemant Soren administration was saved by Bengal police’s recent “arrest of Jharkhand MLAs with gobs of cash.”

“The BJP thinks they can threaten us with CBI and ED. The more they pursue such tricks, the more they will get closer to defeat in next year’s Panchayat election and 2024 Lok Sabha polls,” she further said.

Following the detention of senior party officials Partha Chatterjee and Anubrata Mondal by federal authorities in connection with various cases, she accused the opposition, particularly the BJP, and a portion of the media of launching a vicious campaign against her and her party’s leaders.
