New Delhi, Nov 5: In the men’s singles quarterfinals of the Hylo Open Super 300 in Germany, star Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth defeated world no. 7 Jonatan Christie to get closer to winning his first championship in five years.
Kidambi, ranked 11 in the world, defeated the Indonesian in 39 minutes to improve his head-to-head record to 6-5. He last claimed a championship back in 2017.
Later on Saturday, Srikanth, who had won a historic silver medal at the 2021 World Championships, would compete against Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, ranked sixth in the world. The head-to-head record between Anthony and the Indian is 3-2.
