Ranchi, Aug.14: On the occasion of Independence Day, 17 police officers and constables, including inspector general of Jharkhand Police Prabhat Kumar will be awarded medals for their commendable services.
The Union Home Ministry issued a notification to this effect. According to the issued notification, six police officers-jawans of Jharkhand Police are being given Police Medal for Gallantry while 11 for meritorious services.
These six police officers and personnel will get Police Medal for Gallantry include Inspector Manoj Kumar, two sub-inspectors, Shailendra Kumar Singh and Kundan Kumar SI, two assistant sub inspectors, Jitendra Kumar and Sudhir Kumar ASI, and a constable Nitesh Kumar Singh.
11 police officers and personnel who will get police medals for meritorious service include IG(provision) Prabhat Kumar, Haviladar Jitlal Nayak, constable, Hemant Kumar Baitha, Havildar Nazir Hussain, STF constables Raju Singh Chhetri and Sachin Subba, besides STF Havildar Sikandar Rai, sub inspector Surendra Kumar Singh, Havildar Jalha Oraon, constable Ravindra Kumar Singh, assistant sub inspector Manoranjan Kumar Singh.
