IIT ISM Dhanbad: Stage set for students Gymkhana election tomorrow

Dhanbad, March 31: Stage is set for IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM) Students Gymkhana election 2023 scheduled to be held tomorrow April 1.
Outgoing secretary of Students Gymkhana Jay Anand said that total 4493 students of the institution would select 30 senators for which 45 candidates are in fray. The selected 30 senators would later choose six officer bearers, including chairperson, president, finance convener, secretary media and cultural, secretary games and sports and secretary, science and technology of Gymkhana.

“ The objective of the Students Gymkhana is to give students a role in  administration and academic governance,” said a senior professor of the IIT ISM official involved in election process of Students Gymkhana.

The election would continue till late evening of Saturday and counting of votes would be conducted on Sunday.  The election process has been clubbed in six groups .

For conducting smooth voting, seven senior  professors of the institution, Prof Ajit Kumar ( group A), Prof Vinay Kumar Rajak ( group B), Prof Rajashekhar Reddy Basigiri ( group C),  Prof Giri Yellacheruvu  (group D), Prof Basant Govind Kumar Viluri(group E), Prof P Faluri ) group F) have been  assigned the responsibility.
Prof ACS Rao and Prof Rajkiran are chief and deputy chief election officer respectively.
45 candidates, who are in the race for 30 senate seats are Bhimesh Agrawal, Niloptal Ray, Sakcham Pandey, Harshal Ritwik, Yash Tarun, Devesh Kumar Singh, Anjali Kumari, M Hemant Reddy, VP Surya Tejaswani ( group A).
N Daya Pranay Satwik, Anand Kumar, Ankit Kumar Singh, N Praneeth, Uday Chatterjee, Shajan Hussain, T Abhishek Anil, RP Singh Nimbla,  Maniben Rathore, Ajmeera Prasad,  Ritika Kumari ( group B).
A Satish, Manvee, Abhinav Dubey Aayush Burman, Karan Negi, Manish Kumar, E Akshara Rao, Upkar Bharti, P Vijay Kumar, Prerna Lala (group C).

Akshay Kumar Tripathi, Mayur Bora Paliwal, Harsh Arora , Manik Chouhan and Ravi Verma ( group D).
Md Sad, Aditya Ishwar Pani, Md Imran, Manish Kumar Jha, Prabhat kumar Sahu ( group E).
Ashish kumar Swayang Vid, Himanshu Varshnay and  Kumar Gourav Singh.
