Dhanbad, June 22: IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad in a unique endeavour has opened the campus for a virtual tour of JEE advanced qualified students (2023) to get knowledge about the institution, its infrastructure and available facilities.

The two-hour virtual interaction titled  ‘Open House’, is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow ( June 23), featuring a meet-and-greet session which will provide the opportunity for the students to discuss campus facilities, infrastructure and different academic programs.

During the session of the virtual campus tour, IIT ISM director Prof Rajiv Shekhar will be himself interacting with interested candidates, answering their queries and satiating their thirst for information about this 97-year-old premier institute.

The official of IIT ISM said this is a golden opportunity for qualified candidates of JEE (Advanced) 2023 aspiring for admission into undergraduate courses at IIT (ISM).

The institution has also issued a link (https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84148734391?pwd=bUtvelJuMHJjMlBCUW1JVzhDbDIydz09) for the students to join open session through it and explore the wide range of hotspots other than the academic facilities, like lower ground, upper ground, sports complex, student activity centre, swimming pool, gymnasium, boxing ring, billiards room, squash complex and other.

The official said that interested students can participate in a question and answer session (Q&A) during the Open House where they can freely ask any question from the institute director.

“ The institute, with the aim of promoting excellence in education and motivating talented students to pursue undergraduate engineering education, has launched a study for free facility for top five students taking admission through JEE (Advanced) with 600 rank in Common Rank List (CRM)”, the official said.

The institute will not charge any tuition fees, annual charges, hostel/mess charges, one-time charges and even other semester charges from such five top-ranking students. The institute initiative has given the tagline, Chase Your Dream at IIT (ISM) and Study Free of Cost.
