New Delhi, Dec 7: Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat against India in the second one-day international, at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Shahbaz Ahmed and Kuldeep Sen were replaced by Umran Malik and Axar Patel, respectively, for India. India’s celebrated top-order will be desperate to change the narrative and give a better account of itself against slow bowling in the do-or-die second ODI against Bangladesh on Wednesday in Mirpur, trying to recover from a demoralising defeat. There is no denying that a star-studded batting lineup needs to display more maturity after Indian bowlers failed to take the final wicket when Bangladesh needed more than 50 runs.
When India last competed in a bilateral series in Bangladesh, it was in 2015. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team lost the three-match series 1-2, with the team’s lone victory coming in the third rubber was declared dead.
