Internet service suspended in Lohardaga after communal violence, Section 144 imposed

Lohardaga, April 11: Internet service has been suspended in Lohardaga district on Monday. Section 144 has also been imposed.

Notably, during the Ram Navami procession on Sunday, there was an incident of stone pelting and arson in Hirahi vilage of sadar thana area. After the incident, additional police force has been deployed in the area. The villages where Section 144 has been imposed include Kurse, Hirahi and Kujara villages. The gathering of five or more than five persons is prohibited in this area. There is a ban on the carrying of a lethal weapon by any person in this area.

on Sunday, a communal violence erupted after the incident of stone pelting in Ram Navami procession in Hirahi village of Sadar police station area. Violence had erupted in the surrounding villages. Dozens of vehicles were torched by the miscreants in the communal violence. Notably, ten motorcycles, three carts, one tempo, four cycles and several shops were set on fire at the fair site. In an act of retaliation, people from the other side had set fire to two different houses near Bhokta Garden.
