Jamshedpur, June 27: Meeting Ratan Tata, (former chairman of Tata Sons) and touching his feet is a dream come true, said Ashim Poddar a Jamshedpur – based artist who was recently feted by Ratan Tata.
If fact Ratan Tata got emotional after seeing the painting of the artist and thus honoured him by calling him at his home in Mumbai.
International artist Ashim Poddar’s painting has made a mark in the country when his art, picturising him paying homage to JN Tata went viral in such a way that Ratan Tata, himself saw his painting in Kolaba, Mumbai last Monday.
Ratan Tata, who got emotional after seeing the painting, praised the painter.
Ashim Poddar said that it was a dream for him to meet Ratan Tata as he touched his feet. “Ratan Tata is rich in his simple nature, the love and respect he gave me as well as the encouragement he gave me, for which I will always be indebted”, he added.
It may be known that a few days ago, actor Sonu Sood had also called Ashim to Mumbai after seeing his painting and had encouraged him about the painting made on Sonu Sood.
Ashim has been making his mark in the field of art since childhood and today people from all over the country and abroad buy his paintings paying lakhs of rupees through online mode.
