Jamshedpur, March 23: A decomposed human corpse was found at Mirjadih near Dimna lake under the Bodam thana area on Thursday.
As the body has been reduced to almost a skeleton, the police are yet to determine whether it is that of a male’s body or a female’s.
A section of local residents discovered the body lying under a canopy of bush following a foul smell. The residents later informed the Bodam thana.
OC, Bodam thana Dhananjay Baitha confirmed about the recovery of a human corpse from a bush near the Dimna lake.
“But as the body has reduced to almost a skeleton, we have not been able to determine whether it was a male’s body or a female’s. We have shifted the body to the MGM medical college mortuary for postmortem,” said Baitha while talking to lagatar24.com.
The police officer, however, suspects it to be a murder case and have started taking steps to get the body identified.
