Jamshedpur, March 30: Mystery shrouds the death of a 30-year-old youth whose body was found lying in a drain close to a four-storeyed building near Prabhaat Park under Adityapur thana area on Thursday morning.
The body was later identified as that of Sonu Yadav, who was a truck driver and resident of the Nalanda district of Bihar. The police suspect it to be a case of murder and have taken four truck drivers into custody for interrogation after shifting the body to Seraikela Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
The body was found in the drain that passes through an apartment building, Heaven Palace on the third floor of which the four truck drivers would stay in a rented flat.
It is learned that the deceased had last night come to the flat for staying with the four drivers, but his body was found in the drain at a point right below the flat in question.
OC, Adityapur thana, and Rajan Kumar said this appears to be a suspected case of murder.
“We will get it all clear by this evening. We have already taken four truck drivers into custody along with their trucks,” said the OC while talking to lagatar24.com, adding that the deceased’s family members have also been informed.
