Jamshedpur, Jan 7: Another set of 30 working professionals of Tata Steel graduated from the XLRI in Jamshedpur. The programme consisted of five days of intensive campus learning and group learning sessions.
XLRI is among the top 10 Indian B-schools and pioneers in Live Virtual Learning. Over 7000 working professionals have pursued Postgraduate Certificate Programmes so far and have advanced their careers within and outside of their organizations.
TV Narendran, managing director of Tata Steel Ltd graced the graduation ceremony last evening as chief guest and delivered the convocation address.
Fr S George, the director, of XLRI Jamshedpur, addressed the audience, “It gives me immense pleasure to have each one of you here. After hard work and commitment, you all have reached here. Let’s cherish this day and keep it in our memory forever.”
Narendran presented the Medal for Academic Excellence to Pankaj Kumar Tiwari, PGCBM (2021-22) Batch.
Addressing the modest gathering, he said, “This course is a win-win for both the organisations XLRI and Tata Steel. It’s best for Tata Steel to take full leverage of XLRI as an institution to nourish our employees. Anyone can reach anywhere in Tata Steel. That’s why we invest in the people and people invest in our organisations. Another batch of our working executives is getting ready to be a part of this course. We make sure that there are enough opportunities for our employees.
Programs like these help in broadening your horizons. Learning will never end, it will happen every day. Any day if you reflect on your day, learning will happen. You also learn from observing different people. These are the learnings you will get from different organisations. Your institute will build the foundation of your learning, but it will continue in any organisation you join.”
The course was started to develop and nourish high-quality talent to enhance the managerial confidence at Tata Steel. The first batch graduated in November 2021 and this was the second batch.
