Ranchi, Sept.8: Presiding a meeting of the board of directors of JAP-IT, Chief Minister Hemant Soren gave emphasis on setting up a central data centre for all government departments, offices associated with it.
He was of the opinion that separate data centers of government departments or offices are not proper from the point of view of cyber security.
The chief minister, on the occasion, also instructed the officials to set up a data recovery center and cyber security response team to take prompt action in case of loss of data due any reason.
During the meeting, he also directed to prepare a system for issuance of chip-based e-pass to regulate vehicles of government officials and restrict unauthorized entry.
It was the 10th meeting of the Board of Directors which was organized after a gap of six years.
Other direction the chief minister gave included security audit of the data of all the departments at regular intervals and immediate control in case of detection of any lapse found during the audit, prepare a vision document for e-governance, digitization of government documents, strengthening of office security,
Those present during the meeting included Chief Secretary Sukhdev Singh, Development Commissioner Arun Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to chief minister Rajiv Arun Ekka, Principal Secretary of personnel department Vandana Dadel besides others.
