Ranchi, Jan.7: The Additional chief secretary (ACS), health and family welfare department, Arun Kumar Singh, has issued fresh instructions regarding home isolation in accordance with the revised guideline by the union health ministry for those covid-19 infected persons who are either asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.
Singh, who himself is Covid-19 infected and in home isolation, shared the guideline, which he has given to deputy commissioners cum chairman of District Disaster Management Authority of all the 24 districts of the state.
According to the guidelines, Covid-19 infected persons who are either asymptomatic or have mild symptoms can be kept in home isolation under the supportive supervision of district administration.
In order to ensure supportive supervision, the ACS has directed the deputy commissioners to activate web portal swaraksha.nic.in where a novel corona infected person either an asymptomatic or having mild symptoms interested in remaining in isolation can get himself or herself registered through his or her mobile number and SRF ID for proper approval from the authority.
During the registration, the person has to give his personal description with details of diseases from which he is suffering. Apart from this, he will have to share the date of sample collection and detail of the result besides facilities available at his home for isolation.
As an exercise for supportive supervision, he directed to give at least three calls to corona positive persons to know about his welfare and take necessary action in case of any requirement for hospitalization. To ensure three calls to home isolated persons he directed to establish Covid Control Centre and ensure optimum utilization of 104 Toll-Free Medical Helpline numbers. The ACS also directed the delivery of Covid-19 medicine kits under the guidance of a registered medical practitioner to those recommended for home isolation.
Regarding the home isolation period, ACS Singh mentioned seven days after confirmation of infection or three days after remaining without fever. After the end of home isolation, the ACS directed the district administration that a recovered person should remain in self care for seven days at his home and they are properly informed regarding the end of isolation period according to his health.
The ACS has directed that application for home isolation reaching to concerned officials for approval through portal swaraksha.nic should be disposed of at the proper time to serve its purpose.
