Ranchi, May 23: Amid the sea of troubles, IAS officer Pooja Singhal should turn stoic and detach herself like Lord Buddha. The seasoned doctor of Ranchi district Sadar Hospital, Dr. R. K. Jaisawal tendered this advice to Pooja Singhal on Monday when he visited the ED office for her health check-up.
“She is absolutely fine. Her blood pressure, oxygen saturation level, and other parameters are normal. In a situation like this anxiety is a very common phenomenon. I advised her to do some meditation called Anapana, remember Lord Buddha and follow the path of Yoga. Anapana is a way that Lord Buddha followed. I advised her to imbibe Lord Buddha and develop a sense of detachment,” R. K. Jaiswal said.
Asked whether Pooja Singhal showed any interest in what he advised, he said that she nodded her head. He then explained her three steps of Anapana namely controlling breath, relaxing the mind and detaching mind and soul from the outer world.
“If you do Anapana regularly your inner soul will remain pure and calm. That is exactly why I advised her that she should not allow the cry and chaos of the outer world to influence her mind. This particular dhyan increases self-control and you will not be tempted by greed of wealth,” he said.
One of his colleagues said that R. K. Jaisawal has recently transferred from Ratu health center to the Sadar hospital where he joined the pediatric department.
“He offers meditation more than medicines. He has a very deep knowledge of Yoga. He himself is a happy go lucky kind of person. It is nothing surprising that he advised Pooja Singhal to follow the path of yoga and meditation,” said a doctor at Sadar Hospital.
Pooja Singhal was arrested by the ED under the charge of money laundering and she is currently under the police custody of the ED for questioning. The remand period will be over on May 25. She has been facing the worst situation of her life and career as the ED is reliably learnt to have gathered evidence that she misused her official position for money laundering.
