Ranchi, March 4: The absence of government officials in their gallery during the budget discussion irked legislators in the house and they complained against them to Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto.

BJP legislator Biranchi Narayan raised the issue after the discussion on the budget started and JMM legislator Lobin Hembrom was asked to start his speech.

First, Speaker Rabindranath Mahto took the matter lightly saying they must be coming. But when legislators cutting across the party line including Pradeep Yadav, C.P.Singh, Irfan Ansari and Lobin Hembrom asked the speaker not to take the matter lightly, Mahto too showed his seriousness.

Speaker Mahto asked parliamentary affairs minister Alamgir Alam to ensure their presence. Alam gave a positive response.
