Ranchi, Oct.5: The BJP has promised to save 250 houses on railway land at Pathar Kocha near Birsa Chowk in the heart of the city.
BJP state president Deepak Prakash gave the assurance when a delegation of house owners met him at the BJP state headquarters in Harmu saying they are staying for the last 50 years and have valid power and water connection on their present addresses.
The locality resident said that they regularly pay electricity and water bills and the land is in their possession.
“BJP thinks about rehabilitating someone and does not take interest in displacing someone. We will meet railway officials and find out what can be done to save the houses,” Prakash assured.
