Ranchi, Oct.21: The State cabinet today sanctioned Rs 69.90 crore for the construction of houses of 11 cabinet ministers in Ranchi Smart City under development in Dhurwa.
Other approvals given during the meeting included Rs 52.43 crore for installation of CCTVs at 20 court premises in 20 districts across the state and increasing paddy procurement limit to 200 quintals per farmer to ensure that farmers can get the maximum benefit of minimum support price which is Rs 2050 for ordinary paddy and Rs 2070 for grade-A paddy.
Other approvals given in the meeting included simplification of the rule for keeping surrendered extremists in an open jail, construction of 30-bed shelter home for rehabilitation of those recovered from a mental ailment in three districts including Ranchi, West Singhbhum and Dhanbad and establishment of 7 laboratories for testing samples besides 110-bed ICU at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
Apart from this, approval for changing the cut off date for earn leave encashment of teaching and non-teaching staff from 1/3/14 to 15/11/2000 and the abolition of the decision taken during the cabinet meeting held on August 18, 2020 for reserving seven iron ore mines for the state-run units in accordance with the guidelines of the state government.
The cabinet also approved state contribution of Rs 27.42 crore for the establishment of union-sponsored World Trade Centre in Ranchi, converting grant of Rs 26.57 crore to JBVNL into equity of Jharkhand Power System Improvement Limited, Rs 2 crore (approx) for completion of two stadiums at Deoghar, extension of services of TCS for six months and approval of Rs 1.77 crore for it for the period.
The cabinet also changed the service rule of State Forensic Science Laboratory, Jharkhand Secretariat and made it suitable for local candidates.
