Jharkhand: CBSE wants sports awareness among students

All schools should complete internal work related to examination before year-end

Ranchi, Oct 25: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday issued an instruction related to sports saying that the students should be made aware about sports and fitness. Students have to participate in national and international level sports.

CBSE has issued guidelines for students related to national and international sports. This guideline has been issued for this so that there should be awareness about sports and fitness among the students.

The emphasis is also on health and physical education at the secondary and higher secondary level by CBSE. That is why it is necessary to run the bell of sports games in schools. CBSE students will be able to ensure their participation in sports at national and international level.

CBSE exams for them will be held on some other date. This rule is also for those students who will be a participant in an international level Olympiad, according to this guideline, this option will be applicable for the students only in theory examinations.

The board also issued an instruction related to winter. In areas with extreme cold, they have been asked to complete internal investigation and project work before freezing cold as winter break is in January. Before January 2023, all the schools have to complete the internal work related to the examination.

The CBSE has issued exam related information for schools in winter-bound places in view of the cold weather. In the released information, it was said that all such schools which are located in more cold areas, the process of practical examination, project and internal investigation should be conducted from November 15 to December 14. Schools will remain closed in the month of January.

For CBSE-run schools in India and abroad, instructions have been issued to complete the internal examination and project work before January 2023. Schools located in winter areas are likely to remain closed in the month of January due to cold weather. Therefore, for the schools located in these areas, both class 10 and 12 examinations have been ordered to be conducted from 15 November 2022 to 14 December 2022.

CBSE has announced the CBSE practical exam dates for schools in extreme cold regions. Guidelines have also been issued for the conduct of project and internal investigation.

Schools have been asked by the CBSE board to prepare the final list of the students appearing in the examination. No student from the school whose name is not available in the online LOC of the Board, will be allowed to appear in the Practical Examination, Project and Internal Assessment.
