Ranchi: The Chief Secretary of Jharkhand will soon be using a Skoda Superb as her official vehicle. Additionally, two brand-new top-model Mahindra Boleros will be included in her convoy. The recommendations were made by the Administrative Cadre Committee, which is headed by the Chief Secretary and includes the Development Commissioner, Personnel Secretary, Finance Secretary, and Planning & Development Secretary as members.
Toyota Camry For CM’s Convoy
The committee has also proposed the inclusion of a new Toyota Camry in the Chief Minister’s security fleet. It further recommended that all vehicles that are no longer usable be scrapped and auctioned. The proceeds from the auction will be deposited into the state treasury.
All vehicle purchases will be made through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. In case the required vehicles are not available on the portal, procurement will be done in accordance with the provisions of the Jharkhand Procurement of Goods and Services Manual as notified by the Finance Department.
Toyota Vellfire For Cabinet Secretariat
A new Toyota Vellfire will also be procured for the Cabinet Secretariat and Coordination Department for protocol and coordination duties. This recommendation too has been approved by the Administrative Cadre Committee.
