Ranchi, April 1: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren lent a helping hand to Ankit Kumar, a Bokaro native who was on the verge of abandoning his academic career due to financial constraints.

The CM provided assistance through the district deputy commissioner after learning that the boy, who received 96 percent in matriculation in 2022, was facing financial difficulties in continuing his education. The CM learned that the boy’s father was physically unable to work and that the earning mother was involved in an accident that resulted in a fracture of her leg and hand bones.

CM ordered the block development officer (BDO) to provide a house under Dr Bhim Roa Ambedkar Awas Yojna to the boy’s family and directed the deputy commissioner to make proper arrangements for enrollment of the boy in the coaching institute with proper accommodation and books facility. He also ordered credit linkage to the boy’s family under the Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Scheme.

The CM ensured that the boy’s sister Ankit also got a proper education. He directed for the admission of Ankit‘s sister, Pinky, to a Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya. For the proper treatment of the boy’s father Ashok Prajapati, the CM asked the deputy commissioner to see him.
