Dhanbad, Mar 25: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has ordered a CID probe into suicide committed by the daughter of suspended staff in the toilet of the general manager (GM) office in PB Colliery Area of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BBCL).
The Chief Minister ordered the CID probe into the incident when Dhanbad Sadar MLA Raj Sinha met him and submitted a memorandum demanding a judicial probe into it. Raj Sinha told the chief minister that the victim’s family has been sitting on dharna at the GM office for the last four days with the body for justice but no one has taken cognizance of them.
Parwati Kumari, daughter of Fatik  Chandra Mahto, a suspended staff,  was found hanging in the toilet of the GM office on March 21.  She had reportedly gone to the GM office to get a withdrawal of suspension order against her father. But in the later afternoon her body was found hanging in the office toilet. Since then her family members have been on a dharna there demanding the arrest of the GM and the personnel manager.
On the complaint of the victim’s family, Putki police have already filed an FIR against both the officials and  investigating the case.
Taking the matter seriously, Dhanbad Sadar MLA Raj Sinha today met the chief minister and urged him to give justice to the victim’s family. “ The Chief Minister took the matter seriously and immediately ordered for a CID investigation”, said Raj Sinha on telephone from Ranchi.
